Screen patients for risk of developing work related disability.

The Short Form Orebro Musculoskeletal Pain Screening Questionnaire is used as a screening tool to assess the risk of an individual developing work related disability (Linton et al. Spine 2011).

Work related disability from musculoskeletal pain disorders poses a significant societal burden. Early identification of patients at risk of poor return to work outcomes is useful in clinical practice. This assists optimal use of resources to provide targeted interventions and more closely managed return to work programs.

The Orebro Musculoskeletal Pain Screening Questionnaire was developed as a screening tool for the early identification of workers likely to develop persistent disability from musculoskeletal pain that affects return to work. The short form of this questionnaire was developed to reduce time in administration and scoring. The Orebro Screening App provides the short form of this questionnaire in a format that further simplifies its use.

The Short Form Orebro Musculoskeletal Pain Screening Questionnaire is a 10 item questionnaire. A score above 50/100 identifies individuals at HIGH RISK of developing poor return to work outcomes. Respondents scoring below 50/100 are determined to be at LOW RISK.
